Terms
Last updated 18 October 2026
Dawrak gives a shop a code for its counter and a screen for its staff, so a waiting customer's phone can ring when an order is ready. It is a convenience, not a guarantee, and either side can stop at any time.
Who these terms are for
They apply to the shop that uses Dawrak at its counter, and to any customer who scans the code. Using the service means accepting them.
What the service does
It issues a number to a customer who scans the shop's code, and it tries to alert that customer's phone when the shop marks the order ready. The shop stays responsible for the order itself and for serving the customer.
What it does not promise
The alert depends on things outside our control. It will not reach a customer who has closed the page, and it needs a working internet connection on both phones. A phone may be silent, out of battery, or out of signal. For those reasons the shop should keep a way of calling customers out loud, and should not rely on Dawrak alone.
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we are not liable for a missed order, a cold drink, or lost business arising from an alert that did not arrive.
The shop's own access
The staff screen is reached with credentials we issue to the shop. They belong to the shop, not to a person: keep them to the people who work the counter, do not post them anywhere public, and tell us if you think someone else has them. We will replace them the same day, at no cost and as often as needed.
Fair use
Do not use the service to send a customer anything other than an order alert, and do not try to take numbers for a shop you do not run, overload it, or break into it. We limit how fast numbers can be issued, and we may suspend a shop that abuses the service.
Price and stopping
A shop that starts now pays nothing, with no subscription and no setup fee. If a subscription is introduced later we agree it with the shop in writing first, and the shop is free to decline and stop. A shop can stop whenever it likes: take the code off the counter and tell us, and we switch it off. We can also stop providing the service, with reasonable notice.
Data
We hold order numbers and their timestamps, and nothing that identifies a customer. The privacy page sets this out in full.
Changes and law
If we change these terms we update the date at the top, and we tell shops in use about anything that matters. These terms are governed by Lebanese law.
